Saturday's Top Three Including Clive Culbertson, The Beatles, Rolling Stones

CLIVE CULBERTSON Time To Kill (Irish powerpop holy grail 1979 solid centre 7" vinyl single on Rip Off Records, the debut solo release by the former The Sweat / No Sweat frontman, also featuring Busy Signal, housed in a custom printed paper bag. The bag shows just a light crease down one edge due to it being oversized & not fitting as snug as usual in the punk 45 racks (!), but is otherwise excellent & the vinyl looks near mint. So this is a near mint original, but wait... there are inserts! This copy is complete with an amazing black & white fold-out poster for this very single & a very special handwritten press release sheet that tells it like it is; [Clive] is not going to be the latest big thing from the North coz e's only 5'4"...please review or give me back me leather trousers, cheers oi oi". Brilliant! All powerpop & KBD collectors, here's your one chance...! RIP9)

THE BEATLES The Beatles Christmas Album (Super-rare original 1970 US Apple label fan-club only 7-track LP featuring all the tracks from the Christmas flexi discs collated onto one album. This genuine pressing has hand scratched matices SBC-/-100A & SBC-/-100B, with the correct 'sf' & 'rifle' --<| symbol, along with the 'Bell Sound' script logo. There was just one original pressing manufactured at Capitol's Winchester, Virginia factory, housed in a unique pasted picture sleeve whichretains its original shrink. This copy was sealed when we bought it and has only been opened along the right hand edge to confirm it is a 100% authentic pressing. The record has never been played. Awesome!)

ROLLING STONES Little Red Rooster (Very rare original first issue 1965 Japanese London Records label 7" single, manufactured by King Record Co. Ltd, also including Off The Hook. The vinyl is in better than excellent condition. Comes with the unique wraparound picture insert with ¥330 price code on the reverse, lyrics printed inside and adverts displayed on the back. After A Week Of Travelling 'Into The Void' Our Resident 'Master Of Reality' Returned With A Black Sabbath Gem. It's Time For Dick's Picks!

Black Sabbath - Master Of Reality - 1st Australian Issue + Poster 

Incredibly rare [in this condition] 1971 AUSTRALIAN first issue 8-track vinyl LP on the 'swirl' Vertigo label complete with fold out full colour poster, unique front laminated embossed picture sleeve with lyrics on the back. The front of the sleeve takes its design from the first UK boxed issue but comes in a single pocket sleeve with an identical poster to the UK release. There is no 'swirl' inner as it never came with one. I feel like I should tell you so much more about this copy & describe its defects in minute & tedious detail, but I'm afraid I can't. It hasn't got any defects. This copy is as near to a 1971 shop bought copy as makes no difference. As far as we can tell, it looks like we were the first people to ever unfold the MINT poster. The whites on the sleeve are still white, with no edge scuffing at all & no wear. The vinyl is immaculate & if played, has been done so very carefully on top quality equipment & not very often. I don't often use this word in a description as it's used all too often to describe 'not bad' copies, but for this LP I will. MINT. There is no better copy in the Galaxy than this one!

Rare first issue original stereo Japanese vinyl LP manufactured by Nippon Grammophon Co. Ltd. in August 1968. Housed inside a unique picture sleeve that was only used for the Japanese release. The artwork is a complete departure from the familiar psychedelic imagery of the western releases. This copy also has the often missing one-sided continuation lyric sheet

Mellow Candle - Swaddling Songs

Mega Rare original 1972 UK 12-track LP with brown & white Deram labels and stamped matrix numbers, gatefold picture sleeve with record company poly lined inner. The sleeve on this copy has some minor storage wear mostly on the edges and a small amount of paper loss on the front possibly caused by a removal of a sticker but this remains relatively unobtrusive, the cover otherwise meets a solid VG grade with no seam splits or bowing and a clearlylegible spine. The vinyl is excellent with just a few very light surface scuffs from the poly inner and shows only light signs of having been played with very little lessening in sound quality, only a couple of light spindle marks are evident on the labels. After play testing we can confirm it still sounds outstanding! A very respectable copy of this now highly coveted forty year old rarity!

Extremely rare 1969 UK 'A' label demonstration vinyl 7" for the single release with intact original four prong centre & release date of 14.11.69 on the label, also featuring his homage to James Joyce, Golden Hair, Harvestcompany die cut paper sleeve. Just to add to the fun, Harvest credited the record to 'Syd BarrAtt'. This copy is in incredible near 'as new' condition with almost no sign of its forty years - an amazing copy of this rare Demo!

THE BEATLES Introducing The Beatles

1964 US 12-track STEREO LP on the black & silver Vee-Jay label & hand scratched matrices in the vinyl run off area, pasted picture sleeve. This is the second version where 'Love Me Do' & 'P.S. I LoveYou' were replaced with 'Please Please Me' & 'Ask Me Why'. The stereo releases of this album were few & far between, often Vee-Jay used 'STEREOPHONIC' stickers on an otherwise mono cover, as in this case. The sleeve on this copy shows a fair degree of scuffing to the top seam, but otherwise little in the way of general shelfwear, with a clearly readable spine. The vinyl would be graded as VG-/VG, with several obvious surface scuffs, but none that affect play. A certain degree of surface noise & the odd click will be heard in places. The rarity of stereo copies of this release cannot be overstated.

U2 How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb

A Stunning Set of rare, hand numbered, promotional only prints designed by each member of U2 respectively for the release of the 2004 album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. These prints were limited to only60 each, and were given away at the launch party for the album to friends, and VIP's. The images on the prints depict each band members take on the title of the album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, including Bono's painting of a heart, and the Edge's enlarged handprint with a quote from Sun Tzu. Each of these prints are individually housed in 24.5"x18.5" frames, and hand numbered on the front of the print. Each print is stll shrinkwrapped from new, and are in beautiful MINT condition. This is a rare chance to own all 4 of these fantastic prints, highly unlikely to ever been seen again as a set, and will take pride and place on the wall of any serious U2 collectors home.

THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Trouble Comin' Every Day

It's not often that I describe something with a price tag like this as a bargain, but this is a bargain. A long long time ago, Uncle Frank & The Mothers released one of only two Verve singles in Japan. This one, with sleeve dated 'TO 6711' [Nov 67 Tokyo] was the first and has since become one of the rarest Frank Zappa official releases in the world. Taken from the recently released 'Freak Out' album, this wide centred 7" is backed by Who AreThe Brain Police? A jolly civil rights themed package all round. What makes this extra special is that the title track is the 2:33 single edit, rather than the 5:53 album version. Sometimes these are found as fairly tatty copies but even then you still have to pay a small fortune for them. This copy is first & foremost a stock copy. Secondly, it is complete with the seldom seen lyric insert. Thirdly, the thin silk laminated flipback picture sleeve is untorn, free of stickers, writing or any other significant blemish, with just a very, very small amount of edge scuffing & a couple of areas of light age yellowing on the back to show for the last forty five years. The extremely thin lyric insert is also free from folds, stains, writing or any tears. To cap it all, the vinyl is astonishing and remains in excellent condition with almost no sign of play at all. A staggering copy of one of the rarest FZ releases in the world, directly from a lost cave somewhere in Japan to you. As I said at the start - A bargain - because it is!

The 12½ x 9" item features a 5" tall Moby cartoon figure drawn in black marker pen and a winter scene showing the figure with a dog on skis, sketched in black ballpoint pen. The piece has been signed by Moby, with a heart drawing, in black marker pen. Framed and glazed - measures 17½" x 14½". A absolutely stunning collectors item, ideal for displaying.

  ROLLING STONES/ANDY WARHOL Love You Live

Unbelievable 1977 US 46" x 37" ANDY WARHOL designed Love You Live vinyl table cloth. Warhol produced this original photo silk screen tablecloth for the Stones' Love You Live LP release & tour party at New York City's Trax Club on September 27th, 1977. Printed in black onto white vinyl, the tablecloth features prints of all twenty five photos [two are blow-ups] that Andy took of the Rolling Stones at the "biting" photo session. There were two versions produced; twelve in paper as a poster & twelve in vinyl. Only these twenty four were produced and they were never available to the general public, just the attendees of the launch party. This particular vinyl print/cloth/artwork [call it what you will] has been stored rolled from new & still has the original paper backing, unpeeled. There are a few tears to the edges of the paper backing from the years spent in storage but the vinyl is pristine with no marks or, more importantly, no folds. Frame it or shove your Ketchup bottle on it, the choice is yours, but either way the ownership of this makes you one of an exclusive club of just two dozen, worldwide.

BRUCE DICKINSON Signed Torpedo Tube Plaque

Ok the story goes.... Bruce made a surprise visit to the nuclear submarine HMS Victorious [stationed at HM Naval Base Clyde near Helensburgh in Scotland] by way of a special invitation from the vessel'sCaptain, Bruce a self-confessed fan of submarines, spent three days [27th-30th January 2012] experiencing first-hand what it was like to live and work on board.
Whilst touring the vessel he signed autographs for the crew, one of the itemswas this unusual and unique piece. A plaque taken from torpedo tube number 6, Bruce has signed the back with the message 'Farewell cruel world' & 'Armageddin it.' plus dated '27-30 2012' all in black marker pen. This sure is a one-of-a-kind item, one not to missed and sure to be a highlight and talking point in any collection!

FANTASY Paint A Picture

Rare original 1973 UK 10-track LP, the debut album from the quintessentially English progressive rock group who started at the Chapel Farm, a farmhouse near Gravesend in Kent. The gatefold picture sleeve is strictly graded VG+/EX-, with some minor shelfwear mostly on the edges & spine but with no rips of tears. The vinyl is in fantastic 'near as new' condition with very little signs of play, the only sign that it has been played are a couple of spindle marks on the labels otherwise in outstanding condition. A very respectable copy of this now hard to find 40 year old pressing, and the first copy we have ever seen!

THE BEATLES Brass Apple Paperweight

Extremely rare original UK promotional-only brass Apple paperweight - one of only 100 believed to have been made and given out as gifts to those attending the opening of Apple Studios at 3 Savile Row, measuring 5½" high from the base to the top of the stem and 3½" wide. The apple itself is hollow, splits in two around the centre and is machine tooled; the stem is hand made and unscrews from the top - a different design to the more familiar taller version. There are some light scuffs around the centre opening as you would expect, however it remains in wonderful condition with a lovely patina of age - a superb piece of original Apple memorabilia, these very rarely appear for sale.

MOZART Mozart À Paris– 1763 Et 1778

Ever wanted to save yourself nearly five thousand Pounds ? That's about eight thousand Dollars or Euros, if you wanted to know. Well, that's what the seven LP set produced by Pathé in France in 1956 would cost you if you were able to find one. This recording of all of Mozart's compositions from his visits to Paris in 1763 & 1778 & performed by the Fernand Oubradous Orchestra has long been seen to be the definitive recording of these pieces, unsurpassed to this day. The trouble is that it was produced over fifty five years ago and has never been re-issued - Until Now. This is an instant rarity, being limited to a mere three hundred copies in total and there is already a waiting list, much like there would be for a new model Ferrari.
