Blur are one of the most instantly recognisable band to have emerged from the 90's Britpop scene. Their youthful anthems inspired a whole generation of late-teens and early twenty-somethings, and also their rivalry with a certain mancunian band was well documented in every music publication at the time, even to a point when both bands were playing in Portsmouth the same night, there was fear of a "Mod's Vs Rockers" style gang war (which never materialised.
Their style progressed through the years, with the band all growing as musicians and creating more somber offerings such as 13, and Think Tank which were a far cry from Parklife or Girls and Boys. Their Avid fanbase stuck with them though, and have remained one of the revered bands in British music.
