1950s-early 60s America; a heart-warming age of innocence, drive-in movies, poodle skirts, barbershops, bubblegum and an endless supply of rock ‘n’ roll/ doo wop 45s to load your jukebox. Things may have moved on since then, but we here at 991 can't help but notice just how good the music still sounds, some might say ten times better than most anything released in the charts today. Just take a glance at some of the tunes we’ve stocked in our newly opened ‘50s & 60s 7” Collection’ store. Everything from pop, beat, R&B, blues, rockabilly, rock n roll and doo-wop hits of the era are being filtered as we speak.
Here’s a snappy little selection of some of the biggest investment grade items we’ve added thus far. And no need to worry, for every one £300 Eddie Holland 7” we’ve found, there’s dozens of £8 chart favourites... in mint condition. Happy days!

ANTHONY AND THE IMPERIALS Little Anthony And The Imperials EP
1965 UK 4-track 7" vinyl EP - Like a young tiger cub's purr, Anthony's voice eminates from the grooves as smooth as a chocolate biscuit dunked in a hearty mug o'coffee! A treat from start to finish with the beautiful floorfiller, Goin' Out Of My Head through to the silky I'm On The Outside Looking in, Hurt So Bad and Make It Easy On Yourself. Unbeatable vocals over unfaultable production from Teddy Randazzo. An absolute treat
