U2 Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
Stunning 1995 UK original Manga Studio's production animation cels for the classic promo video for the song used in the Batman Forever movie. Includes a cel measuring 13" x 10" in size and hand painted onto acetate, features what has been titled 'Dead Elvis', this was taken from the part of the video which featured the band walking down the street and Bono is run over by a car driven by Elvis. The highlight of this wonderful item is a an original water coloured painted background of 'The Thing' building in Gotham City measuring 17" x 12½" in size, attached are two separate 13" x 10½" hand painted acetate cels of The Fly and McPhisto, the two alter egos of Bono. Comes in a hand made card folder, produced simply to protect the contents, with a handwritten note attached from the animation director involved. This is a fantastic one-off piece of U2 related artwork, in fabulous condition & still as bright & vibrant as the day it was painted, now days these would hardly ever be produced as would be created digitally making this a true collectors gem.
THE BEATLES Two Blue Meanies - Anthology Animation Cel
Wonderful 1994 UK original Manga Studio animation cel used in the Beatles Anthology section about The Yellow Submarine period of the band, featuring a superb full colour close-up facial image of the Chief Blue Meanie looking angrily at a Common Blue Meanie, hand painted on to acetate film & is still as bright & vibrant as the day it was painted. This has been framed in a black wooden frame measuring 14" x 11½" in size, with a personally signed handwritten note attached to the back from the animation director involved. As every animation cel is unique in design, this is a fantastic one-off piece of Beatles related artwork.
1976 Japanese tan Reprise 'steamboat' label 35-track compilation vinyl triple LP housed in a lavish tri-fold colour picture sleeve complete with 4-page biography/lyric insert, additional insert with photos, pictorial album discography and notes on the recordings, plus original obi-strip - a stunning package!
