Great cover shot of a blonde Madonna. The cover has some very minor spine and light storage wear in a couple of spots, but the inner pages are all in superb condition.

1968/9 UK smooth orange CBS label 13-track Stereo vinyl LP issue of the 1962 album, unique picture sleeve with no Stereo arrows or picture of Bob on the back and featuring a bio by Stacey Williams on the reverse. The sleeve shows just minimal shelfwear or edge scuffing & the vinyl is MINT - a great copy! SBPG62022.

 

LOUDON WAINWRIGHT III Attempted Mustache

Original 1973 UK graduated orange label 12-track vinyl LP, the 4th album by the comedic folk singer, picture sleeve featuring full lyrics on the reverse cover. The sleeve is showing just a little light area of wear to one corner but this remains unobtrusive and is otherwise in great shape whilst the vinyl within looks MINT and barely if at all played! - a great copy of this classic album!

BBC4 rewinds Top of the Pops to 1976

Channel to show vintage episodes from equivalent week 35 years ago, starting in April

Viewers of a certain age have fond if hazy memories of Top Of The Pops from the 1970's, when the likes of Dave Lee Travis and Jimmy Savile presided over a cheesy circus of big hair and bad dancing.

From next Thursday BBC4 is giving viewers the chance to compare their memories with the reality, showing vintage Top of the Pops episodes from the equivalent week, starting in April 1976, in the now defunct music chart show's old BBC1 slot, 7.30pm.

The BBC4 controller, Richard Klein, said the network planned to continue with the weekly TV nostalgia experiment for at least a year – and possibly longer – depending on its popularity. Klein added that BBC4 had chosen April 1976 as a starting point because that was when the corporation began keeping every episode of TOTP. Before that its archive of the show, which ran between 1964 and 2006, is more patchy.

Rare unused 2009 US black Kipling sports bag issued to full time crew and was never available to buy as merchandise. The bag has a zip-up pocket at each end and one on the side with a largezippered central compartment, complete with shoulder strap and velcro fastening carry handle. The copy is embroided with the Cher logo and 'Las Vegas 2008-2011 The Colosseum' in burgundy and 'Caesars Palace' & 'Crew' in white, plus also has the Kipling 'Sven' monkey mascot still affixed and all the original tags included.

THE BEATLES Life

Original US 90-page magazine from 28th August 1964, featuring a 7-page article about the 2nd visit to the U.S. along with great black & white images of the fans and a section on how to kick the 'Beatles' habit! The cover has a superb colour image of the band members with the headline 'They're here again and what a ruckus!'. This copy is in really nice shape with only light signs of age, stunning example of this over 45 year old magazine!.

RICKY MARTIN Ricky Martin

Rare official US RIAA Certified 6 x PLATINUM Award issued to commemorate sales of more than 6,000,000 copies of the C2 Records/Columbia album, cassette and CD. The award features a platinum LP with picture label, a CD and 'multi-platinum' cassette shell, plus custom engraved dedication plaque with the RIAA 'R' style hologram and six miniature images of the album artwork denoting 1 million to 6 million sales. This nicely framed and glazed award measures 17" x 25". A stunning item!

The Mythic Operas of Richard Wagner

Unlike most other opera composers, Wagner wrote both the music and libretto for every one of his stage works.

Initially establishing his reputation as a composer of works such as The Flying Dutchman and Tannhäuser which were in the romantic traditions of Weber and Meyerbeer, Wagner transformed operatic thought through his concept of the Gesamtkunstwerk ("total work of art"). This would achieve the synthesis of all the poetic, visual, musical and dramatic arts, and was announced in a series of essays between 1849 and 1852. Wagner realised this concept most fully in the first half of the monumental four-opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen. However, his thoughts on the relative importance of music and drama were to change again and he reintroduced some traditional operatic forms into his last few stage works including Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.

Wagner pioneered advances in musical language, such as extreme chromaticism and quickly shifting tonal centres, which greatly influenced the development of European classical music. His Tristan und Isolde is sometimes described as marking the start of modern music.

1990 UK 9-track Capitol label vinyl LP for the fourth studio album produced by Mike Clink & Dave Mustaine and includes the classic singles 'Holy Wars... The Punishment Due' & 'Hangar 18', housed in a glossy picture sleevefeaturing the classic artwork by Ed Repka which depicts Vic Rattlehead and the leaders of the five major world powers attending a secret meeting in Hangar 18, comes complete with the original lyric inner sleeve. The sleeve is showing just someminor edge scuffing whilst the vinyl remains immaculate! - Pristine play copy of the thrash masterpiece! EST2132.

JOHN LENNON Imagine

Rare 1975 UK Apple 'A' label vinyl demo promotional 7" single also including the track 'Working Class Hero' on the B-Side, this copy has still got an intact four pronged push-out centre with 'Demo Record Not For Sale' clearlyprinted on the push-out and '24.10.75' release date on both labels, housed in picture sleeve. The sleeve is not mint with a sticker mark on the front, plus some ringwear and creasing. There is a small amount of writing on the A-side label, however the vinyl is in mint conditon! R6009.

David Bowie's 'lost' 2001 album 'Toy' appears online

14-track album features re-recorded songs from back catalogue

David Bowie's shelved album from 2001, 'Toy', has appeared online.

A high quality rip of the 14-track album appeared on file-sharing sites on Sunday (March 20) and has been shared by fans since.

The album features re-recorded and revamped versions of some of Bowie’s earliest tracks. It was due to be released as a follow-up to 1999's 'Hours…' but was shelved after a dispute between Bowie and his then-label Virgin.

Two tracks from the album, 'Uncle Floyd' and 'Afraid', made it onto 2002’s 'Heathen'. Three others, 'Baby Loves That Way', 'Shadow Man' and 'You’ve Got A Habit Of Leaving', were released as b-sides.
