Arguably the greatest orchestra in the World right now, the Berlin Philharmonic lead by controversial British conductor Simon Rattle will be performing five concerts in London next week.
The concerts will include Mahler’s third and fourth symphony, symphonies by Haydn and Schubert and a new commission by Toshio Hosokawa.
Unfortunately, the tickets sold out a long time ago – which is a real pity as the Berlin Philharmonic is noted for the visceral, exciting nature of their performances, which really needs to be experienced first hand. However, if like me, you missed out on attending a concert, you can at least explore the fantastic legacy of classical recordings made by this illustrious Orchestra on our own, humble website.
