The sleeve is showing some light colour fading and shelfwear but remains in excellent shape for it's age of over 35 years and the vinyl is in fantastic near MINT condition - a wonderful play copy! 6360 616.

PET SHOP BOYS 'The Most Incredible Thing' [Release Date MARCH 2011]

UK EDITION I JAPANESE EDITION

Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe release the music for their first ever full-length ballet, 'The Most Incredible Thing', on March 14th through Parlophone Records. The ballet is a collaboration with choreographer Javier De Frutos and Britain's leading contemporary dance theatre, Sadler's Wells. Based on the Hans Christian Anderson story of the same title, it runs at Sadler's Wells in London from 17-26 March 2011.

Tennant and Lowe proposed Andersen's story as the basis for a new ballet to Sadler's Wells in London in 2007 after a friend, the then Royal Ballet principal, Ivan Putrov, asked Neil Tennant if Pet Shop Boys would consider writing a piece of music for him to dance to at Sadler's Wells. Coincidentally a couple of days later, Chris Lowe suggested to Neil Tennant that 'The Most Incredible Thing' would make an excellent narrative for a ballet and, inspired by this synchronicity, they approached Sadler's Wells with the project. The following year, Javier De Frutos was chosen as the choreographer. The story is about a competition in a mythical kingdom where the King announces that whoever invents the most incredible thing will win the hand of the Princess in marriage and half of the Kingdom. What follows is creative, destructive but ultimately happy.

Tennant and Lowe composed most of 'Act One' in autumn, 2008, and the rest of the score in 2010. The music is a combination of electronics and orchestra. They approached the young German musician Sven Helbig to create the orchestrations and at the end of 2010 these were recorded in Poland with the Wroclaw Score Orchestra conducted by Dominic Wheeler. After the initial run of performances of 'The Most Incredible Thing' in March, a return to Sadler's Wells followed by a tour is planned for 2012.

Neil & Chris said: "This is a very exciting project to be part of. In the past we have written dance music so to write music for a ballet seems like a logical development. Also we have always been fascinated by giving our music a theatrical context."

The score follows Tennant & Lowe's critically acclaimed soundtrack to the classic silent film 'Battleship Potemkin'. In 2004 they performed it with the Dresden Sinfoniker in a free concert in Trafalgar Square presented by the ICA. They have since performed it at various outdoor events in Germany, Spain and the UK.

BLUE to represent the UK at Eurovision 2011

It has been announced the boyband BLUE are represent the UK at this years Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany on Saturday 14th May.

Simon Webbe said "I've always wanted to represent my country, so this is a truly exciting experience for Blue."

ADELE storms to NUMBER ONE.

British singer-songwriter Adele achieves her second number one in the UK album chart with 21.

Adele also has three singles in this week's top 40, and her 2008 album 19 - a former number one - has risen to number four in the album chart.

About its release she said "I'm very excited, nervous, eager, anxious but chuffed to announce my new album! It's taken a while and it knocked me for six when writing it. It's different from '19', it's about the same things but in a different light. I deal with things differently now. I'm more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles. Something that comes with age I think. So fittingly this record is called '21'. The whole reason I called my first album '19' was about cataloging what happened to me then and who I was then, like a photo album you see the progression and changes in a person throughout the years".

1982 UK limited edition green and red Virgin label 13-track vinyl LP, the 3rd album from the influential American avant-garde, political punkers, issued on a striking PINK vinyl. Complete withtwenty eight page black and white picture booklet, single pocket 'limited' stickered picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal edge/ringwear & the vinyl remains a wonderful near mint! STATLP11.

The Marvelettes co-founder Gladys Horton dies

Gladys Horton, one of the original members of the Marvelettes, has passed away at a nursing home in Sherman Oaks, CA where she was being cared for after a stroke. She was 66.


Horton and Georgia Dobbins formed a group while in an Inkster, MI high school called the Casinyets (for "Can't Sing Yets") who went on to change their name to the Marvels. They won a chance to audition for
the new Motown Records in a high school talent contest and performed a song Dobbins had rewritten from an old blues tune called Please Mr.Postman.

The audition got them hired, but Dobbins left the group and was replaced by Wanda Young who became the second lead singer to Horton. They were renamed the Marvelettes and Please Mr. Postman was released as their first single with Horton on lead. It went to number 1 on both the Pop and R&B charts, the first for the new company.

QUEEN Bohemian Rhapsody

Mega rare 1975 French original Pathe Marconi 2-track 7" wide centre-hole vinyl single which includes I'm In Love With My Car, housed inside a unique yellow and purple 'little girl' picture sleeve with only a little colourfade/ringwear and otherwise in superb shape with great looking vinyl over 35 years on! 2C010-97140.

LES WHO My Generation

Original 1965 French black & gold Brunswick label 4-track 7" vinyl EP with large centre hole, housed in a superb front laminated flipback picture sleeve with mis-spelled credit for 'Pete Townsed' on the reverse! The sleeveshows only the faintest of laminate lift with no creasing and bold unfaded colours. The edges are sharp and free from splits with clearly legible spine print. There is some very light wear on the back, however the flipbacks are intact, with nowriting [a common problem with '60s French pressings]. The vinyl appears to be barely played, retaining a beautiful shine over 40 years on - stunning!.

Tori Amos musical to debut in London

A musical co-written by Tori Amos will debut in the UK in 2012.

The flame-haired femme fatale has been working on a musical adaptation of a 19th century fairy tale by George MacDonald called The Light Princess for the last three years.

Appropriately enough, it's about a princess who is cursed to be unaffected by gravity, causing her to float above the ground.

Back in late-2008 she told The Independent: ''m trying to write a musical that will be relevant to a 16-year-old today, a rite of passage for a young girl into womanhood.'

She also said it will have a decidedly feminist bent, saying, 'The thing about the original story I wasn't crazy about is that the princess's disability gets blamed on an old hag. We're not going to deal in spells cast by old ladies; we're dealing with problems caused by power and greed, many of which start with men."

Glee cast break Elvis Presley UK chart record

The cast of US TV series Glee have broken Elvis Presley's 50-year record as the act to score 20 top 40 hits in the shortest space of time.

Their cover of Britney Spears's hit Toxic entered the singles chart at number 40. It took the Glee cast 57 weeks, compared with Presley's 88 weeks, to achieve the feat.

The group now has three top 10s and six top 20 hits under its belt and have sold more than two million singles. "This is a quite amazing achievement by the Glee cast to be in the same company as the likes of Elvis Presley, in fact beating his 50-year-old record," said Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official
Charts Company.

Bret Michaels released after heart operation

Doctors says the operation to correct a hole in the heart of Poison singer Bret Michaels was a success.

Michaels was admitted to the St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix this week for the heart procedure after the hole was discovered when the singer was treated for a brain hemorrhage last April.

Bret Michaels was given a catheter in a vein then doctors used the latest medical equipment including a tiny camera to fix the hole.
