Zacron sadly passes away
Zacron was responsible for the amazing Led Zeppelin III album art (a controversial piece of work that Jimmy Page once described, incorrectly, as a bit "teeny-bopperish"), which included the near legendary spinning inner disc which changed the album cover with each turn.
Zacron - real name Richard Drew - met Jimmy Page when he was a student at the Kingston College Of Art, where he also lectured for a time. He has worked as a successful artist ever since.
Classic Rock Magazine reports that Zacron sadly passed away as a result of bowel cancer in January of this year but his estranged family only learned of his death recently.
