Rare 1990 UK limited edition item that has to be one of the most unusual CD boxes ever made. Inside, you will find the familiar ten track CD, along with an individually numbered certificate saying that this copy is number 403 of 2000 made. What's so special about this CD Box ? Well the 7" square recessed wooden base is normal enough, but less so is the 6½" square & 5" high glitter blue carved sandstone Pyramid that sits on top of it. The recess is accessed by rotating the base off of its ball bearing retaining lug. This thing is a monster & is unlikely to fit in any CD rack that you currently own, but might come in handy for maiming burglars, should the need arise. A very rare & unusual Pink Floyd item!

JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE Axis: Bold As Love
Rare 1988 Spanish issue of the 1968 13-track STEREO vinyl LP with A1/B1 matrices. Housed in a unique top-opening laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve is showing very few signs of storage other than just slight creasing/scuffing to the laminated edges and corners but overall in remarkable condition for a pressing of this origin. The vinyl is in superb shape with only one or two signs of play including a cosmetic hairlinemark on side 1, however it retains a wonderful bright lustre with no obvious spindle marks suggesting very little playback - a great copy and a scarce Spanish edition, the first of its kind to grace our vaults, definitely a little bit of Spanish Castle Magic!

Times have changed. The media is no longer telling us: “Vinyl is coming back.” Now it has a different question: “Why is vinyl back?”
Hurrah! Vinyl is back! Official. For some of us, it never went away; for others, it just hid up in the loft, weeping gently at its fall from grace, before its owner went up there, tenderly wiped away its salty traces (bad for vinyl) and placed it in a sensuous reunion with a quivering stylus. (Diamonds are a groove’s best friend.)
That doesn’t answer the question. Why is vinyl back? Because it’s better. Liz Kershaw has a different answer: “I think this is capitalism getting back at Marxism.” As I understand it, her argument is that computers represent Marxism in that they distribute mostly free music made by “the kids” without the need of record company intervention, whereas capitalism wants to sell you vinyl and the equipment to play it on. But who sells you the computers and MP3 player to play your “free” music on? Not “the kids”, that’s for sure. I like free stuff as much as anyone, but how are musicians to earn a living if music has no monetary value? For every millionaire member of a stadium rock band there must be at least, ooh, three or four struggling musicians who put out records but fail to rake in the megabucks.
What are musos meant to do if they can’t make royalties on their music? Work in iPod factories by day (and we know what they are like) and gig by night? I like reggae, and it’s a crying shame to me to have got on a bus and seen one of my idols, Pat Kelly, sat there, when he has had massive specialist hits, but wasn’t paid royalties. It’s the same for Ken Parker, a singer who is like Brook Benton and Smokey Robinson in one handy package, who was working as a security guard in Enfield in the 1980s. Those dignified men didn’t moan: they got on with life. But that’s what happens when music is distributed without the artist receiving a royalty. Anyway, have a listen to this short story on the Today programme this morning, and be glad vinyl is back and hopefully someone is getting paid for it. And yes, I know that I buy secondhand records and the occasional bootleg, but I also buy brand-new black plastic from retailers in shops. And people get paid when I do. In theory, at least.

Each EP is supplied in a replica of its original flipback picture sleeve, all presented in a custom stickered black & silver binder with information booklet. The binder is in great shape showing just minor side seam splits to the some of the inner PVC sleeves whilst the outer cover is in superb condition and all contents remain mint - a fabulous collector's item.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Last American Hero From Asbury Park, N.J.
Mega Rare 1978 Japanese 10-track CBS/Sony promotional LP with special white 'Sample' labels, produced to promote the release of the fourth album, 'Darkness On The Edge Of Town', featuring material taken from the first three albums. Housed in a custom 'Not For Sale' black & white back pasted picture sleeve with track details on the reverse & discography along the bottom & complete with the original lyric insert, which has English text on one side and Japanese on the other. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing, and is free of tears or writing. The insert has just a couple on marks & some age discoloration on one edge, but is otherwise superb. The vinyl is in amazing near 'as new' condition with just a couple of very light surface scuffs and a few spindle marks on the labels to show for its thirty five years. Overall, this is an outstanding copy of this rare promo, which is believed to have been limited to less than 100 copies. One of the rarest Springsteen items we have ever had the pleasure to offer & in far better condition than usually found, if you can find one at all.

Rare original 1968 Japanese promotional only 7" flexi disc. This fantastic rarity features an interview with Mick Jagger. The disc is printed with Japanese text and shows no sign of play or handling, housed in a unique custom paper picture sleeve featuring a great 'out-take' picture from the Banquet photo shoot on the front with Japanese text on the back, this too is in great condition as has only a few light storage marks on the edges plus acouple of light creases from storage, a stunning item now alsot 45 years old! Japanese promo-only items are manufactured in very small numbers, to find one in such condition of this age is amazing!
CROSBY STILLS NASH & YOUNG 4 Way Street
Incredibly rare original 1971 Japanese green & orange Atlantic label 17-track 2-LP vinyl set, recorded live in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles between June 2nd and July 5th 1970, housed in a gatefold pasted picture sleeve complete with fold-out lyric insert, original advertising inners and the almost mythical shaped 'Rock Age' obi-strip. The obi has only some light creasing on the top left edge. The vinyl has just one light inaudible surface mark on side 1 and just a couple of minor scuff marks. The sleeve has some very light edgewear and scuffs on two corners. A wonderful copy of this rarity in glorious near MINT condition.

WOODSTOCK 3 Days Of Peace & Music
One of the most astonishing & delightful items to ever pass through my hands & difficult to describe in a way to do it true justice, but here goes ... In 1969 the world witnessed an event that, for a short period of time, seemed to display a new hope to a younger generation raised on the horrors of Korea, Vietnam & the Cuban missile crisis. That was the three day event held at Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel, New York, between August 15th & 18th that year entitled 'The Woodstock Music And Art Fair'. Events at the festival have been documented at great length, the film & soundtrack have been released, so that part is well known. What is less well known is that the organisers produced a fifty four page programme for the event, lovingly crafted in detail & printed on high quality paper stock. What we have here is one of those programmes that, apart from some incredibly minor rubbing to the front & back cover & a little rust staining at the staples, is in astonishing near 'as new' condition. This is NOT a repro, but a 1969 original & the first one that we have ever seen!)

THE TONY KINSEY QUINTET A 'Jazz At The Flamingo' Session
Incredibly rare 1957 UK 6-track mono live LP, recorded in London on May 16th that year in front of an appreciative & enthusiastic audience. The quintet at the time also featured Joe Harriot on Alto, Bob Efford on Tenor, Bill Le Sage on Piano & Vibes and Pete Blannin on Bass. Despite the flimsy constuction, the sleeve on this copy remains complete & free from major splits, although it has obviously seen better days. As is commonwith these flimsy fifties sleeves, the laminate has shrunk over time, resulting in some curl at the opening, with several areas scuffed & missing laminate. That said, with the exception of a small missing segment of the rear top scalloped flipback, the sleeve has remained clearly readable with just a little edge scuffing & a bit of general shelfwear to show for the past fifty five years. The vinyl is amazing & is a true testament to the quality of the pressing in that, despite some light surface marks, it plays through without skipping, burring or any sonic distortion. There is one scratch on side two which does make a 'click' during side two tracks two & three, but apart from that historic mishap the side plays through with the same high fidelity as side one. All in all a very respectable & playable copy of this great album at a fraction of the price of a 'mint' copy, so if you want to play it rather than frame it, this is a serious bargain LK4207
VARIOUS-TRANSPORT Steam On The Lickey Incline
Fabulous...1983 UK 6-track LP featuring the sounds of team locomotives at work on the Lickey Incline in the Summer of 1959. The record includes recordings of a Black Five, a Devonian, a Jubilee, a 4.F, Class 5s, a Crab, a 2.P & a 9.F, all in fantastic detail, issued as part of the very collectable 'Sounds Of The Steam Age' series, picture sleeve with extensive liner notes. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear & the vinyl is flawless ATR7026
Whatever next. First there was Lou Reed & Metallica, now this. The collaboration between Queen guitarist Brian May and N-Dubz mainman Dappy has just been released online.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the rapper revealed that he has paid tribute to Amy Winehouse and the other members of the so-called '27 club', musicians who died at that age such as Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin on the track.
Dappy on the inspiration behind 'Rockstar': "It's all about paying homage to the 27 Club and amazing artists such as Amy Winehouse. It's a song about people getting to their lowest but it talks about turning a negative into a positive."
The rapper also spoke about how he came in contact with May and revealed that the guitarist had told him that he was a "very different and unique". You be the judge.
